Outer Banks, NC Wedding Photographer | Sarah D’Ambra Photography | Summer Engagement Session

Can I just brag for 2 seconds?! I always feel like I just rock an engagement session. Honestly, I’ve photographed SO MANY different photography sessions at some of the same locations over and over again and I am amazed each time how happy I am with the outcome of each photography session.

If you know me, you know I’m a total sucker for really cool architecture. On the Outer Banks, we don’t have a lot of options to choose from when if comes buildings… I’ve had the opportunity to blend together two really cool elements during this engagement session. The coastal and industrial elements that both Jennette’s Pier and the Washington Baum Bridge provide for visually pleasing photographs is astonishingly present in these images.

I’m so thankful that I tend to attract clients who allow me to be me and let me creative gears run wild. Here are a few photographs from Megan and Andrew’s Outer Banks engagement session we shot last week. ENJOY!

Outer Banks, NC Wedding Photographer | Sarah D’Ambra Photography | Brier and Scott’s wedding at the Hilton’s Kitty Hawk Pier!

I am so excited to share Scott and Brier’s wedding! I photographed their engagement photos in February right before I left for Iceland. While the weather between February and May might have changed, the beauty of this couple certainly did not! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this wedding and I’m stoked to finally have it on my blog! The Hilton Garden Inn is becoming one of my favorite venues to shoot at! Take a look at their wedding shots at the Kitty Hawk Pier, in Kitty Hawk, NC… ENJOY!!!

Outer Banks, NC Wedding Photographer | Proposal at Jennette’s Pier!

So excited to share these! Alex (whom I have known since high school)  called me a few months ago and said she’d be in town and would love for me to take a few photos of her and her boyfriend. Shortly before our session, her sweet boyfriend Jim called me and gave me a heads up that he was planning a surprise proposal. How perfect! Check out Alex and Jim’s proposal session at Jennette’s Pier in south Nags Head! Enjoy!

ALSO just a sweet reminder that we will be booking spring minis over Easter weekend! April 3rd, 4th, or 5th please! Enjoy the photos!

Outer Banks, NC Wedding Photographer | Sarah D’Ambra Photography | Matt & Frida Engaged!

I have been so lucky to catch these awesome warm days this winter. It’s been perfect for all the E-sessions I’ve had lined up. Engagement season is in full swing here on the OBX and we are so happy to share this recent session with you!

Matt and Frida are two close friends of mine and I couldn’t have been more honored to shoot their engagement session. I first met Matt about 3 years ago when he moved into the house next to mine, and shortly after that I met his sweet girlfriend Frida. Their love for travel, the ocean and Budweiser was perhaps the single common denominator that lead me to realize how awesome these two are! We settled for Kitty Hawk Pier for their location as I knew that Matt had spent many summers there growing up, and hoped to continue share this spot with Frida in the years to come. Here are a few photos from their engagement session. ENJOY!

Outer Banks, NC Wedding Photographer | Sarah D’Ambra Photography | Ashley & Doug Engaged!

When Ashley and Doug told me that they wanted to shoot their engagement photos at the local coin laundry in Manteo, the wheels in my head immediately started turning. I began to think of all the ways I could possibly turn an ordinary everyday location into somewhere really cool and still have an intimate tone to the entire series. This was SDP’s 1st official shoot of 2015 and I am stoked to be back into full photography mode! We finished up their session in downtown Manteo along the waterfront. Those images can be seen HERE

Here are a few photos from their session. ENJOY!
