August 18, 2016
August 13th 2016. I shot a wedding on the hottest day of the summer. With temperatures that were just shy of 100 degrees, not a cloud in the sky and no breeze. I can’t tell you how thankful I was that our ceremony and reception were indoors. I met Colleen and Drew at the Outer Banks Wedding Expo back in January, and after briefly talking with us amongst all the chaos and having time to review some of our work, they both felt that we would be a great fit for their destination Outer Banks wedding at Jennette’s Pier. If you know me, you know that I love a challenge, so when Colleen presented a timeline to me that reflected our photography coverage would be during the brightest part of the day, I wasn’t shy to jump on it. I was actually grateful that we were presented with the opportunity to work with something different. I’ve learned to embrace the unforgiving light that the sun shines! All in all, Saturday was wonderful. We even managed to squeeze a few killer sunset photos in there. Here are a few photos from Colleen and Drew’s outer banks wedding! ENJOY!
