Outer Banks North Carolina Wedding Photographer | Sarah D’Ambra Photography | Stephanie & Dan

Eeeek! I’m loving these!!! I’m so excited to share Dan and Stephanie’s Outer Banks Wedding with you! It’s always really helpful when your bride and groom plan out the perfect timeline that allows the photographer to shoot literally as much as they want! I don’t think there was a single square inch of downtown Manteo that we didn’t cover! Starting off with their precious backyard 1st look at the Magnolia House, walking our way through downtown Manteo for their Bride and Groom shots, and then finishing everything up with a ceremony and reception at Basnight’s Lone Cedar! Here are a few of Stephanie and Dan’s photos! Enjoy!

CAN WE TALK ABOUT THAT GORGEOUS GOLDEN SUNLIGHT!!!!!!!! HOLY WOW! Ok so I have to admit, this is a couple’s session that I shot last summer and completely forgot to blog! I know right? I’m the worst! But I’m so thankful I remembered the other night. Alli and Elliot actually won this session during a silent auction for a local benefit. I was delighted to shoot the session, and was even more stoked when I learned that I would be shooting for a  local couple! ( I went to school with Elliot!) I’m continually drawn to Coquina beach in Nags Head, NC to shoot outer banks family beach portraits so I figured why not shoot their’s there too! I’m am beyond excited to share these photos with you, that golden light is so incredibly perfect!!  ENJOY!

Outer Banks North Carolina Wedding Photographer | Sarah D’Ambra Photography | Woodsy Engagement Session in Nags Head Woods

HAPPY NEW YEAR! I can’t believe I’m sitting down to blog our 1st post in 2016. 2015 year flew by so incredibly quickly!

I am so happy to be welcoming Erin and David into the SDP family! We photographed their engagement session in late December on a absolutely perfect warm winter day. We settled on Nags Head Woods for their shoot location and I’m so glad we did!! After walking about 20 minutes to the perfect spot that Erin and David picked out I knew that the secluded sound front landing was going to be perfectly adorable. Even though I fell into the water… and almost broke my ankle we were still able to get some cozy woodsy winter engagement photos in! I also was completely obsessed with their two sweet babies they brought along with them. A perfect little family of four! I loved how both of their dogs wanted to be just as included in the photos as David and Erin. You’ll be able to see that in several of their images! Looking forward to this summer when we photograph their outer banks wedding! Here are a few photos from their woodsy engagement session in Nags Head Woods.

Engagement sessions are by far my favorite thing to shoot! I’ve always said this. Once again I have reassured my self of this, just after I photographed this gorgeous couple at the Wright Brothers National Memorial. I COULD NOT MORE MORE OBSESSED WITH THESE PHOTOS! Seriously, killer! Killer sunrise, killer light, killer location… and KILLER COUPLE! I am so stoked to be working with these two again in May for their Outer Banks Wedding at the Currituck Club. Here are a few photos from their engagement session at the top of the Wright Brothers National Memorial in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina.

Outer Banks North Carolina Wedding Photographer | Sarah D’Ambra Photography | Wedding ceremony and reception at 108 Budleigh in Manteo, NC!

I honestly spoke too soon! Here I was thinking that I was blogging the last 2015 wedding of the year and sure enough we just booked one for December! Yay us! Regardless, I am so happy to finally be able to share the wedding photos from Cody and Jenilee’s wedding in downtown Manteo, North Carolina. They held their wedding ceremony and reception in the amazing 108 Budleigh! Again and again we’ve photographed weddings there and it’s awesome to see how each one turns out differently. We also had the special opportunity to photograph some of the guys photos at the local Manteo airport seeing as how Cody is a pilot for small air crafts. With all the other photos wrapped up in the charming downtown Manteo waterfront area, I’m stoked to have sort of ended the year in my stomping grounds! Here are a few images from Cody and Jenilee’s wedding! Enjoy!

Outer Banks, NC Wedding Photographer | Sarah D’Ambra Photography | Summer Engagement Session

Can I just brag for 2 seconds?! I always feel like I just rock an engagement session. Honestly, I’ve photographed SO MANY different photography sessions at some of the same locations over and over again and I am amazed each time how happy I am with the outcome of each photography session.

If you know me, you know I’m a total sucker for really cool architecture. On the Outer Banks, we don’t have a lot of options to choose from when if comes buildings… I’ve had the opportunity to blend together two really cool elements during this engagement session. The coastal and industrial elements that both Jennette’s Pier and the Washington Baum Bridge provide for visually pleasing photographs is astonishingly present in these images.

I’m so thankful that I tend to attract clients who allow me to be me and let me creative gears run wild. Here are a few photographs from Megan and Andrew’s Outer Banks engagement session we shot last week. ENJOY!

Outer Banks, NC photographer | Spring Portraits & Cake Smash!

Ok I’m obsessed with my 1 year old niece. But in all seriousness she is by far the most precious child ever! Recently we did a cake smash for her 1st birthday and here are a few photos from that session.

ALSO just a sweet reminder that we will be booking spring minis over Easter weekend! April 3rd, 4th, or 5th please! Enjoy the photos!

Outer Banks, NC Wedding Photographer | Sarah D’Ambra Photography | Matt & Frida Engaged!

I have been so lucky to catch these awesome warm days this winter. It’s been perfect for all the E-sessions I’ve had lined up. Engagement season is in full swing here on the OBX and we are so happy to share this recent session with you!

Matt and Frida are two close friends of mine and I couldn’t have been more honored to shoot their engagement session. I first met Matt about 3 years ago when he moved into the house next to mine, and shortly after that I met his sweet girlfriend Frida. Their love for travel, the ocean and Budweiser was perhaps the single common denominator that lead me to realize how awesome these two are! We settled for Kitty Hawk Pier for their location as I knew that Matt had spent many summers there growing up, and hoped to continue share this spot with Frida in the years to come. Here are a few photos from their engagement session. ENJOY!
