Outer Banks North Carolina Wedding Photographer | Sarah D’Ambra Photography | Thomas and Renee’s wedding at the First Colony Inn

I’m getting vibes that there are a ton of locals waiting to see these photos, so I went ahead a put a little blog update together for everyone! Thomas and Renee couldn’t be more perfect for each other. I knew that just a few short months ago when I photographed their outer banks engagement session, their wedding was going to be killer. I have been dreaming of shooting a the First Colony Inn in Nags Head for the longest time and I finally had the opportunity. The day couldn’t have been more perfect (even with the 99% humidity!) Both these guys were troopers in dealing with the muggy weather and the on and off rain. Also I’d like to once again point out how freaking precious their frenchie/boston Tina is!!! Couldn’t be more stoked about this one, here are a few images from their day! ENJOY!

If I could shoot heavily detailed elopements forever I would. Gosh I love this wedding. Talk about a bride after my own heart! I love Kelly, because she said her vows champaign glass in hand. Everything from the beautiful bouquet (provided by none other than The Flower Field – Bells and Whistles ) to their awesome beach vibes was simply the coolest ever. Here are a few photos from Kelly and Chandler’s simple ceremony in Salvo, NC

Abby and and Daniel are as cute as can be. The photos speak for themselves as you can tell these two are in love! Outer Banks Photographer | Sarah D’Ambra Photography | African Inspired Styled Shoot

You wanna know something crazy?!?! I’m completely overwhelmed with how photography has helped me develop my personal taste in room design, decor and in fashion design… and overall my own personal style. Shelly with HoneySuckle Events OBX has been wanting to do an African inspired shoot with a few pieces for a long time. With there being an #AccentDecorAfrica contest going on on instagram, we figured why not!

TWO really important things here:

1. HONEYSUCKLE EVENTS IS LIKE THE OUTER BANK’S BEST KEPT FLORAL SECRET! Seriously! If you’re not using her for you event ya need to! Shelly is this hidden gem of a creative floral genius who consistently blows me away with her ability to create these outstanding floral designs. Simply Amazing.

2. Photography is all about what inspires you. So keep shooting.

Here are a few photos from Shelly’s styled shoot #AccentDecorAfrica ENJOY!

Hailey and Blake couldn’t have had a more perfect sunny day for their Outer Banks Wedding. I am so happy that they chose us to document their day! Starting out with getting ready over at Pirates Cove Marina, then off to a sunny beach front ceremony in Kill Devil Hills, and topping the night off with the most adorable reception venue ever at The Cypress House Inn. With out tooting my own horn, I think it’s safe to say that Madeline and I just KILLED another wedding!! Here are a few photos from Hailey and Blake’s Outer Banks wedding.

Outer Banks North Carolina Photographer | Sarah D’Ambra Photography| Alli and Elliot couples session at Coquina Beach in Nags Head!

CAN WE TALK ABOUT THAT GORGEOUS GOLDEN SUNLIGHT!!!!!!!! HOLY WOW! Ok so I have to admit, this is a couple’s session that I shot last summer and completely forgot to blog! I know right? I’m the worst! But I’m so thankful I remembered the other night. Alli and Elliot actually won this session during a silent auction for a local benefit. I was delighted to shoot the session, and was even more stoked when I learned that I would be shooting for a  local couple! ( I went to school with Elliot!) I’m continually drawn to Coquina beach in Nags Head, NC to shoot outer banks family beach portraits so I figured why not shoot their’s there too! I’m am beyond excited to share these photos with you, that golden light is so incredibly perfect!!  ENJOY!

Outer Banks North Carolina Photographer | Sarah D’Ambra Photography | Ashley’s Outer Banks Maternity Session

I am so obsessed with Ashley’s outer banks sunrise maternity photography session!!! Everything from her lovely boho flower crown to her beautifully fashioned mint green, maternity,  two piece dress is perfect! We settled on shooting her maternity session at sunrise, because I felt that would be a unique way to incorporate a beautiful outer banks sunrise while still being able to utilize a coastal theme with soft light. Please take a moment to check out some of my favorite shots from yesterdays session! ENJOY!

Destination Wedding Photographer | Sarah D’Ambra Photography | Southwestern Bridal Inspiration

Last week I took a trip to visit New Mexico, and while I was there I had the opportunity to organize a styled shoot in the desert! I traveled everywhere from Albuquerque, Santa Fe and even took a hike through Tent Rocks… which I highly recommend! This was so fun and so far from what my typical photography and wedding posts look like. Nestled in the foothills of the Sandias Mountains, we were surrounded by lava rocks, cacti, and perfect golden light. I’d love to shoot wedding in New Mexico sometime, but meanwhile enjoy this Southwestern bridal inspiration! Here are a few photos from our shoot! Enjoy!
