Bridget carried a custom needlepoint clutch she stitched herself — a true labor of love — and even designed the ring bearer pillow with hand-embroidered details that left us speechless. With Southern Hospitality Weddings & Events handling full-service planning and the floral magic of Renee Landry Events, the vision came together flawlessly. Guests were greeted by a sea of florals, natural textures, and an unforgettable ceiling installation of woven baskets overflowing with greenery — the perfect nod to East Coast style with a laid-back, luxury feel.

The reception design featured a mix of coastal-inspired neutral chairs, three different pattern linens that harmonized beautifully, and thoughtful elements like flower baskets carried by each bridesmaid. Every table was dressed to perfection — from the floral centerpieces to the custom oyster menu cards that guests could physically open by swinging a delicate top layer to reveal the menu inside. It was paper goods meets coastal sculpture — functional, beautiful, and one-of-a-kind.

A Groom’s Touch: Joe’s Tackle Shop

Perhaps the most talked-about detail of the evening? The escort display, lovingly named “Joe’s Tackle Shop.” The groom handmade over 150 fly fishing lures — one for each guest — which were pinned to a custom seating chart. Guests were invited to grab their lure, find their seat, and enjoy a cocktail hour that featured additional nods to Joe’s love of fishing: fly lures and fishing-themed accents were styled across every cocktail table.

The custom bar signage was even printed directly onto the sail of a model sailboat, a true showstopper that tied the nautical inspiration together in the most unexpected and elevated way.

Specialty rentals from Amaranth & Artifact brought texture and warmth to the space, while every detail — down to the custom logo, coastal cocktail tables, and neutral-toned rattan chairs — spoke to a perfectly curated East Coast wedding aesthetic. And as the night wound down, Shore Coffee Roasters rolled in with their mobile coffee cart, serving up affogatos as a late-night treat for guests who weren’t ready to call it quits.

There’s something magical about spring on the Outer Banks — soft salt air, golden hour over the water, and just enough breeze to carry a scent of garden blooms. This wedding at Nags Head Golf Links perfectly captured that magic with a celebration that was equal parts elegant and relaxed, romantic and joyful.

Set on the water’s edge with sweeping views of the sound, the ceremony and reception embraced a garden party feel with thoughtful details and fresh spring colors. From the beginning, this couple wanted a wedding that was beautifully designed, intentionally styled, but still laid-back enough to reflect the coastal ease of the Outer Banks — and their vision came to life in every way.

The day began with a signature flat lay, artfully styled by Honeysuckle Events, who also provided the floral design. As always, their work was intentional and refined — a soft mix of spring-inspired color and detail that introduced the day’s aesthetic beautifully.

The bridesmaids wore a curated collection of blue and white dresses, each slightly unique but cohesive — echoing the day’s garden theme while maintaining a classic tone. The bride carried a bouquet in soft spring hues — blush, cream, dusty blue — accented by textured greens that mirrored the natural surroundings of the golf course.

The ceremony arch was a romantic display of accent blooms and lush greenery, positioned just so that the sunset over the sound framed the couple as they exchanged vows. With around 200 guests in attendance, the event still felt intimate — thanks to the layout, design, and clever placement of lounge spaces and cocktail hour seating.

Guests enjoyed signature cocktails during a lively cocktail hour, followed by a reception under a clear-top tent where the stars twinkled overhead. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, filled with the soft flicker of candlelight, organic florals, and an effortless rhythm that only happens when every element is thoughtfully planned.
